Many of posts on my Blog will be about the life and work of the American graphic designer E. McKnight Kauffer (1890 – 1954), and the people he knew – writers, artists, critics, publicity managers, and publishers. I hope my posts may contribute a more nuanced history of the graphic arts that acknowledges the significance of context and connections. As an extension of the research carried out for my PhD I will present a great deal of new information not revealed or published elsewhere. United Kingdom
I will also post short pieces on other topics that interest me - go to my Talks page to get an idea of subjects I might cover.
